To sum it up, this is the best nail salon I’ve found in Iowa City after trying out 4 others. Their work quality, friendliness, and attention to detail set them apart. My nail artist, Louis, was exceptionally thorough and did a spectacular job on my dip manicure. The prices here are also very competitive. I recently had my old dip manicure removed, a new set done with one tip for a broken nail, and only paid $36, whereas my previous set cost nearly $50 and didn’t look half as good. They are also running a special from M-W of 15% off of any service over $25 through the end of Feb. 2020. We’re heading back in for pedicures while the special is still going.

I’ve been to most of the nail places in Iowa City and Coralville, and Candy Nails is by far the best. The staff is super nice, they provide quick service, their prices are reasonable, and they’re experts in acrylic and gel nails. I had stayed away from getting a full set for the past six months because I’ve had issues with them at other places, but I couldn’t be happier with how my nails turned out at Candy today. Whether it’s nail services or waxing, go here for all your needs; you won’t be disappointed!

This team of nail designers is exceptional!! Not only are they exceptionally talented, but they also make you feel welcome. The owner is incredibly sweet, and I always have her work on my nails. I opt for the cat eyes design, which is incredible! It’s surprising how many men comment on my cat eyes design – when do men really care about nail design, right?! But honestly, even strangers often compliment my gorgeous nails. So cool.

I consider Candy Nails to be in a league of their own. The shop is consistently bright and clean, and every time I’ve requested precise line work, I’ve been absolutely stunned! The wait time is well worth it, as these technicians are extremely skilled.

I’m very pleased with this salon for a quick and well-done manicure. My mother got French gels, and they did a great job repairing a broken nail and making it blend in with her other nails. They have an extensive color collection and cover all the bases with their color options. The prices are great too – a regular manicure (not gel, just polish) was only $14. While I would have liked a lotion hand massage like most salons offer, I didn’t mind since I was in a rush. Everyone at the store was pleasant and very helpful, and I’ll definitely be returning.
